Who Are We? What is Big Baby Gorilla Bear? Why Another Branded T-shirt and Apparel Company?
WHOA… One question at a time, bruh! When I was a young man, there was a time when my peers wouldn’t take the time to get to know the “real me.” Sadly, that’s how some kids are; some groups of people are; some societies are. Need I go on?
There were times when I was the only kid at the dreaded empty lunch table – you know the one…the one where you would stand by the trash can and balance your tray with one hand, eating with the other before going and sitting over there! During those times, I discovered something magical about fashion, particularly t-shirts.
T-shirts have a way of becoming a conversation piece. They can create an unexpected laugh. Graphic tees can catch our attention, draw us in to inflect on a statement or make us think deeply. Likewise, they can just be visually pleasing, or serve as a piece of artwork we carry with us. The right t-shirt might lead to someone commenting or laughing out loud!
It is amazing how something that small can change someone’s day, and that is not just hyperbole! I couldn’t change how people felt about me, or my looks, or my geographic position on the Earth. However, I could change my t-shirts! And I found a passion for them!
I carried this passion into BigBabyGorillaBear.com. I had an idea in my head for years that eventually turned into our mascot, which is a fusion of a fierce grizzly bear and a clever gorilla. This mascot illustrates our diverse design lines that include everything from political humor to retro vibes and beyond!

At Big Baby Gorilla Bear, we take pride in our meticulous design process. Each T-shirt starts as a concept aimed at tugging, pushing, and pulling the boundaries of conventional graphic tee fashion. We want our shirts to be more than just your average “plain font phrase” or the same joke on a different color or style of shirt! We believe that every detail matters, including the uniqueness of our designs. We put a lot of thought into everything, from the choice of our fabrics to the precision of the print, ensuring that our T-shirts are not only stylish but also durable and comfortable.

Our Commitment to Sustainability
At BBGB, we believe God made the Earth, and that he expects us to do what we can to take care of it. We know that several factors have led to an entire fashion industry built on getting the cheapest materials, mass producing them, and selling them on discount sites (Fast Fashion)! Temu what, Shein who? According to Earth.org, the Fast Fashion industry plays a part in “92 million tonnes” of wasted garments ending up in landfills yearly. (https://earth.org/statistics-about-fast-fashion-waste/). Other sources indicate a significant percentage of new clothes may never be worn before being landfilled! You can read the article…it highlights additional bad (and sad) statistics.
We know there is no fast or easy fix to the fashion industry’s problems! However, we do what we can to play our small part. Our products are not sitting in a warehouse, waiting to go out of style and then dumped in a landfill to age like old Presidents! We begin the fulfillment process once you confirm your order. This helps eliminate a lot of waste!
Additionally, we donate any leftover returns that we cannot repurpose in our marketing and promotions so that those in need can utilize them. Our fulfilment partners use eco-friendly printing methods that utilize biodegradable and non-toxic inks, in a fully automated and mostly paperless facility. Our t-shirt blank manufacturers also engage in a wide array of sustainable efforts and ethical sourcing!
